For two hundred years, an unsolved mystery has haunted Seville: Princess Rosina has disappeared without a trace. When Lindoro and Fiorello visit her old palace, they discover a mysterious wardrobe. Following a strange figure inside, they find themselves in an enchanted world. There they meet Rosina, cursed by the wicked alchemist Bartolo to turn into a rose every night. They only have until dawn to break the spell!
Rossini’s The Barber of Seville becomes an interactive music theatre experience in which students become part of the story and sing along with the performers. A multi-session training programme provides teachers with methods and materials to prepare their classes. Students also receive a booklet adapted to their school level, with sheet music, educational activities and additional materials introducing them to Rossini’s opera and its themes.
