Our season of contemporary opera is as dynamic, captivating and inspiring as a festival. Our stagings explore the developments and contradictions of the modern world. Yet, at the same time, there’s no shortage of classical repertoire reinterpretations. We tell exciting stories, experimenting with innovative languages and artistic fusions, in a dialogue of virtuosity with the Haydn Orchestra: these are stories that feed debate, both in the physical theatre and via digital media, involving the most dedicated audiences and attracting a new and curious public.
We present world premieres of works by prestigious international composers as well as new Italian productions of the highest quality, all the while keeping an eye on the contemporary regional scene. For this reason, we have commissioned works from some of the best composers in the Tyrol–South Tyrol–Trentino Euroregion, including Manuela Kerer, Wolfgang Mitterer and Matteo Franceschini.
