Description

In Figaro’s hair salon, nothing is quite as it seems. Among scissors and wigs, an unusual adventure begins. When Figaro meets a young dreamer, he shows her just what is possible with a little imagination. Suddenly, everyday objects are transformed into props, costumes and characters. Right in the middle of the barbershop, the story of Rosina, the lovestruck Count Almaviva and the eccentric Don Bartolo begins to unfold. And of course, Figaro is right at the heart of it all: inventive, quick-witted and always ready for his next trick. The young audience becomes part of the action too: the children sing along, move to the music and join in a short choreography. With a singer, an actor and a pianist, Rossini’s The Barber of Seville becomes an imaginative music theatre experience and a playful first introduction to the world of opera. 45 minutes before the performance, the children rehearse the songs together with a music educator.

Before each performance, children and adults can take part in a family music workshop led by experienced music educators. The workshop begins 45 minutes before the performance.

In Italian.
