Waves

What does the sea sound like? What does a wave feel like? And can a wave perhaps even dance? In Onde (English: Wave), the stage becomes a small world by the sea. Waves transform into voices, sounds and dancing bodies, images begin to move, and the children are invited to watch, listen, feel and take part. Along the way, they encounter curiosity and joy, but also fear and wonder. Inspired by Suzy Lee’s picture book The Wave, Onde brings together live music by the Orchestra Senzaspine, movement, images and touch in a poetic journey for children up to the age of four. A first theatrical experience in which the very youngest can immerse themselves in the world of music through all their senses.

The production grew out of an artistic and educational exploration of music theatre for children aged 0 to 3 as part of the Grow – Inclusive Opera project, developed by Compagnia Teatrale Petra together with L’Albero and the Orchestra Senzaspine (Boarding Pass Plus, MiC).
